MNR MİMARLIK, a design–project–restoration firm, was founded in Antakya, Hatay in November 2010 by architect Müjde Nur RİFAİOĞLU and Prof. Dr. Mert Nezih RİFAİOĞLU. Architect Müjde Nur RİFAİOĞLU began a professional career in architecture after graduating first in the faculty. During more than ten years of practice in Ankara, Rifaioğlu took part in the design of complex mixed-use buildings such as large-scale hospitals, cultural centers and shopping centers, and developed expertise in preparing architectural implementation projects. As part of a team, Rifaioğlu has won first prize in many architectural competition projects.

Prof. Dr. Mert Nezih RİFAİOĞLU received a doctorate in 2012 from the Graduate Program in Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Middle East Technical University (METU), and developed expertise in historic environment conservation and architectural restoration. As an academic, Rifaioğlu has worked at METU, in the United Kingdom and in Italy, and has taken part in national and international projects on the conservation of cultural properties and historic environments. Academic work continues at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, İskenderun Technical University. A member of the Turkish National Committee of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites), Rifaioğlu was elected an expert member of the International Committee on Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites (ICIP) in 2018 and of the ICOMOS International Committee on Historic Towns and Villages (CIVVIH) in 2019.

The most important feature of MNR MİMARLIK is its ability to prepare projects of different scales and scopes, to the highest standards and in a form that can obtain the approval of the relevant institutions and organizations: from survey, restitution and restoration projects for historic buildings to the design, preliminary, final, implementation and detail projects of complex, large-scale architectural projects, and from urban landscaping projects to interior design.

Following the discipline of architecture closely, MNR MİMARLIK produces contemporary and rational solutions at international standards, suited to the client’s requirements and the content of each project, in coordination with well-equipped academics and professionals in the relevant field.
